The complaint of Dioniso O. Alegado for non-renewal of his employment was settled 4-day after he filed it on June 27, 2016.
Alegado, filed the said complaint against his alleged employer for 2 years, Dragon Asia Rolling Mills, Inc., before the Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch-National Capital Region, on the afore-stated ground.
On 1 July 2016, the first conciliation meeting facilitated by Conciliator-Mediator Gerie D. Lampitco, the complaint was finally settled, and paved the way for the deployment of Mr. Alegado to another client of his real employer, LDV Agency.
Alegado expressed his gratitude, especially to the Branch, for extending valuable assistance in resolving his complaint.
“I really appreciate the assistance given to me by Con-Med Lampitco and the Branch,” said Alegado.
According to Director Teresita E. Audea of the RCMB-NCR, the case is just one of the more than a thousand requests for assistance handled by the office under the SENA program for the first quarter of 2016.
“We promise that we will remain committed in helping the parties amicably settle their labor disputes brought before us,” Audea added.
The SENA is a 30-day mandatory conciliation-mediation which seeks to provide a speedy, impartial, inexpensive, and accessible settlement service for unresolved grievances and complaint arising from employer-employee relations.
Under the scheme, complaints, also called requests for assistance, are addressed through conciliation-mediation as initial step. If the complaint is not settled within 30 days, the same is referred to the appropriate office of the DOLE.
